Purpose
APRIQ aims to make Australian property intelligence accessible while protecting the work involved in collecting, validating, calculating, organising and explaining it.
This policy explains the permitted use of APRIQ material.
APRIQ material
APRIQ material may include original:
- research
- written analysis
- market commentary
- calculations
- metrics
- classifications
- rankings
- charts
- visualisations
- maps
- interfaces
- methodologies
- software
- database structure
- proprietary observations
- model outputs
- reports
- and compilations.
These materials may be protected by copyright, contractual rights and other intellectual property protections.
Underlying source data
APRIQ also uses information originating from third-party publishers.
APRIQ does not claim ownership of third-party material merely because it has processed or displayed it.
Rights in third-party information remain with the relevant rights holders.
Where underlying data is independently licensed for reuse, you may obtain it from the original source and exercise the rights granted under that licence.
APRIQ's restrictions apply separately to APRIQ's own:
- analysis
- calculations
- database
- software
- presentation
- commentary
- classifications
- compilation
- and research product.
Linking to APRIQ
You may freely link to publicly accessible APRIQ pages.
We encourage legitimate reference by:
- journalists
- researchers
- advisers
- property professionals
- educators
- commentators
- and members of the public.
Where possible, link directly to the relevant market, research or methodology page.
Limited republication
Reasonable use of limited APRIQ extracts is permitted for legitimate:
- editorial
- research
- commentary
- educational
- or discussion purposes
provided that:
- APRIQ is clearly credited
- the meaning is not distorted
- relevant limitations are retained
- the material is not misleading
- and a direct link is provided where technically possible.

Media use
Journalists and media organisations may quote reasonable portions of APRIQ public research.
Limited APRIQ charts may also be reproduced where:
- APRIQ is prominently credited
- the chart is not materially altered in a misleading way
- relevant qualifications remain visible
- and online publications link to the relevant APRIQ page.

Bulk use
The permission above does not allow systematic copying.
Without written permission, you may not:
- download APRIQ at scale
- scrape APRIQ
- replicate large numbers of market pages
- republish APRIQ datasets
- recreate APRIQ tables
- maintain a mirror
- create a bulk database from APRIQ
- redistribute APRIQ feeds
- use APRIQ as the source for a competing database
- or resell APRIQ information.
Automated access
Automated extraction requires prior written permission unless expressly permitted.
This includes:
- scraping
- crawling for systematic data extraction
- harvesting
- bulk downloading
- browser automation
- API emulation
- or similar automated collection.
Normal public search-engine indexing is permitted where APRIQ's technical indexing rules are respected.
Artificial intelligence
Limited APRIQ excerpts may be used during ordinary general-purpose AI interactions for personal research.
Without permission, APRIQ content must not be systematically used to:
- train AI models
- fine-tune AI models
- create AI training corpora
- create commercial embedding datasets
- build retrieval services that materially substitute for APRIQ
- or create competing property intelligence products.
Commercial licensing
APRIQ may provide approved commercial access through:
- professional subscriptions
- data exports
- APIs
- research licences
- institutional agreements
- bespoke datasets
- and other commercial arrangements.

Attribution does not replace permission
Crediting APRIQ does not automatically make prohibited use acceptable.
Attribution is required for permitted reuse.
It is not a substitute for obtaining permission where permission is required.
Preserve context and provenance
You must not deliberately remove or falsify:
- APRIQ attribution
- evidence labels
- confidence statements
- geographic qualifications
- methodology qualifications
- OBSERVED / CALCULATED / MODELLED labels
- source categories
- or other information necessary to interpret APRIQ research responsibly.
